Party Room Downtown Columbia, MO

Party room blueprint - lame, but it shows... uh, that we have party room options.
Downtown Party Room in Columbia MO at Shakespeare’s Pizza. Or is it called a banquet room? Or maybe a event venue? or party venue?

Party Room Availability is changing frequently during CoronApocalypse. Call us for the latest.

Our original home at 9th and Elm was just dripping with charm, atmosphere and nostalgia… but the party room was a hot mess, and totally impractical. When we rebuilt, we knew we needed a great party space. This is it! It’s not as big as the party rooms out South (real estate is mighty spendy downtown), but it works pretty well.

50-60 Guests: The Whole Party Room…

  • Seats 50-60, or maybe 70 or more if you know each other well.
  • There’s an overhead projector to plug your laptop into for presentations and Powerpoints and what not… no extra charge!
  • The projector can show the big game also.
  • We’ve got a microphone for speakers if needed.
  • There’s a Coke fountain for refills without hiking across the whole joint.
  • We can set up a private bar if you like.
  • Monday thru Thursday: We request a $300 minimum menu order; there is no charge for the room. We request a credit card number to reserve the room; if you’re a no show, we’ll be really bummed because you stood us up, and we’ll charge a $50 cancellation fee to your card, because we miss you, and we told everybody else they couldn’t have the room because we thought you were coming.
  • Friday thru Sunday: We request a $300 minimum order, and a non-refundable $150 rental fee in advance to reserve the room.
  • Certain blackout dates apply (home games, graduation, etc); contact us.

30 Guests or so: Take Half the Party Room…

  • Garage doors come down and divide the room in half.
  • The first room, the Main Party Room, has the soda fountain and the overhead projector.
  • The second room in the back, the Alley Party Room, has a big garage door that can open to the outside alley on nice days.
  • Each half can seat 25-30, maybe 40 if you like to be cozy.
  • Monday thru Thursday: We request a $150 minimum menu order; there is no charge for the room. We request a credit card number to reserve the room; if you’re a no show, we’ll be really bummed because you stood us up, and we’ll charge a $50 cancellation fee to your card, because we miss you, and we told everybody else they couldn’t have the room because we thought you were coming.
  • Friday thru Sunday: We request a $150 minimum order, and a non-refundable $75 rental fee in advance to reserve the room.
  • Certain blackout dates apply (home games, graduation, etc); contact us.

The Alley…

  • Most of the far wall next to the alley is another big garage door that can open the whole thing up to the alley on nice days, so  your event can spill out into the alley.
  • We pass on to you the $15 charge to apply for the required city alley closure permit. This is non-refundable even if the permit is denied. That’s the city, not us.
  • The city likes three months or more to consider closures so they can deal with their red tape.
  • We can supply tables and chairs for the alley that will provide seating for 50 for an additional $100.
  • Of course, once a closure is in place, you can decorate or furnish the alley yourself any way you like.
