A(nother) Fundraiser that WORKS!
PLAN TWO: Super Easy for You - just invite everyone out to dinner. (Here's Plan One if you'd rather sell pizzas than candy bars, magazines, or cheese logs.)
The 15%-Back-at-Ya Plan
Have a Shakespeare’s Pizza Day for your school or organization!
Here’s how it works:
- Find a date. We suggest booking a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Dates are filling fast.
- Distribute flyers announcing the event to your members. We produce the flyer for you to copy and distribute.
- Encourage everyone to come to Shakespeare’s Pizza on the day of the event and purchase lots of stuff: a dine-in meal, frozen take home, T-shirts, gift certificates for later; home delivery counts, too.
- Your members leave the flyer with us when they make their purchase, and we staple a copy of their receipt to the flyer.
- At the end of the night, we add up all the receipts, and write a check to your organization for 15% of the total.
We have 2 conditions that we ask you to follow:
1. We can’t combine offers. What this means is that guests can’t use coupons or other offers (Add Sheet, etc) and have their order count towards the 15% total. After all, if we give them the coupon discount, there isn’t any margin left to give you the 15%. So far, everyone has found this to be understandable.
2. We ask that you and your group members refrain from standing at the front door of the restaurant handing out the flyers to everyone who shows up at the front door. The spirit of the arrangement is that you are bringing us business that we wouldn't have had otherwise, and we give you 15% of that business as a thank you. If you hand out the flyers at the door to everyone that walks up, then you are including guests that were already coming anyway. Furthermore, those guests would be precluded from using any coupons or other discounts, and that might not sit well with them if they were planning on using a coupon.
That’s it! It’s that simple.
If you want to reserve the party room for your fundraiser you will be asked to pay the standard $50.00 deposit to hold the room.
The more your members buy, the more you make. We call it advertising, as it brings in guests to try us who might not have otherwise.
You call it easy money in the bank, because you don’t have to
do much at all… just encourage attendance to an event – a
meal out for the family – that many would be doing anyway. One
event benefited Russell Blvd. Elementary School, who raised over $300.00
for Relay for Life with very little effort.
Set up your date with the bookkeeper. Call her at the West store or send her an e-mail .
